Engineering group BRESSON, as a representative of traditional Czech mechanical engineering, brings together experienced project managers, engineers, designers, and technicians in the field of innovative development of special materials and power equipment for the nuclear industry in technological combination with renewable generation sources.
HISTORY
DUKLA FOUNDED IN 1927 BY AN ENTREPRENEUR AND SCIENTIST EMIL KOLBEN.
BRESSON WAS THE DEEPEST LIGNITE MINE IN CENTRAL BOHEMIA FOUNDED IN 1855.
ONE OF THE LARGEST HEAVY MACHINERY FACTORIES IN EUROPE BETWEEN THE WORLD WARS.
IT HAD ITS OWN WORKSHOP FOR DEVELOPMENT, MANUFACTURING FOR MINING TECHNOLOGY.
AFTER THE SECOND WORLD WAR, DURING THE COMMUNIST REGIME, CKD WAS NATIONALIZED AND BECAME (AMONG OTHERS) THE WORLD BIGGEST PRODUCER OF TRAMS.
TRANSITION OF THE COMPANY FOCUS FROM MINING TO HEAVY MACHINERY WAS FINALIZED IN 1990 DUE TO PLANNING OF CONSTRUCTION OF POWER PLANT ADJACENT TO THE MINING SITE.
DURING THE 1940-1990, CKD INSTALLED POWER SYSTEMS INCLUDING WASTE MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS ALL OVER THE WORLD.
IN-HOUSE TEAM OF MECHANICAL DESIGNERS AND ENGINEERS STARTED SELLING SERVICES TO THIRD PARTIES.
IN 2002 BRESSON ACQUIRED THE BRAND (POWER ENGINEERING DIVISION), TECHNICAL KNOW HOW IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT INDUSTRY AND KEY TECHNICAL PERSONNEL
SUBSEQUENT RESTRUCTURING OF THE GROUP RESULTED IN SPIN-OFF OF BRESSON ENERGY A.S. FOCUSING ON MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE TO ENERGY PLANT DEVELOPMENT.
BRESSON SINCE THE BEGGINING OF 2010´s STARTED A WIDE COOPERATION WITH MANUFACTURING GIANT WITKOWITZ. THIS LED BRESSON TO ENLARGMENT OF ITS ACTIVITIES TO DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIAL MATERIALS IN THE FIELD OF NUCLEAR ENERGY, AS WELL AS DEVELOPMENT OF SMR TECHNOLOGIES, AS A PART OF EQUIPMENT FOR LOW-POWER ENERGY SYSTEMS.
